To the delight of the Cape climbing community, new dates have been set for the Western Cape Climbing Provincial Championships.
Originally scheduled to take place on 3-4 July, the competition was postponed following the tightening of lockdown restrictions. WCC announced on Tuesday 20 July that the Championships will now take place on 28-29 August, by which time the third wave regulations and regulations should have eased.
The Tope Rope and Lead competition will take place on Saturday 28 August at CityROCK Cape Town, with the Bouldering competition being held on Sunday 29 August at Bloc 11 South. Athletes need to register by 20 August.
It’s set to be an action-packed two days with stellar performances from our local athletes – come through, show your support, and have a darn good time.
