A historic moment for South African mountaineering!

On April 7th, 2025, Warren Neil Eva became the first South African to summit Annapurna I — one of the most dangerous and revered peaks on the planet 🏔️

Guided by Kaji Sherpa, Warren stood atop the 8,091m giant, joining an elite group of fewer than 370 climbers in history to reach the summit of this notoriously deadly mountain. His courage, grit, and determination are nothing short of legendary 💥

This achievement adds to his growing list of epic climbs — including K2 in 2022 — and cements his place in South African climbing history 🙌

Huge congratulations to Warren, teammate John Black, and the rest of the international team. We’ll be cheering them on as the expedition continues 💚
