The construction of the new CityROCK branch in Irene, Pretoria is coming along nicely and it’s almost time to splash some paint on those walls! Back in January, CityROCK announced their Pretoria Wall Design Competition, and they were absolutely blown away by the response from the community.
In one month, over NINETY entries were submitted, making it a very tough call for the judges. Ultimately one stood out as the winner…
Congratulations to David Rossouw!
“We absolutely love David’s design and we’re stoked to have this be the face of our new chapter. We chose his entry due to its clean yet mountainous feel, which will give Pretoria an edge as the new but smaller sibling. This new look is trendy and refreshing and won our hearts!” says Cally Bishop, CityROCK Operational Director.
Cally goes on to say, “We will be tweaking the colour palette slightly and the gym may look more like the below design come opening day (which is currently set for 1 July, for anyone wanting an inside scoop!).
And another big well done to our second-place winner, Narine van den Berg!
Cally says, “This design was a close second for us and heavily debated. We loved the colour palette and we liked how well everything fit in with our current branches’ look and feel. In the end, the final vote came down to the owners who decided it was time for something bold and different.”
Thank you to every single person who put their time, effort and creativity into drawing up a unique vision for the new gym – we appreciate you. All entrants who have qualified for the free one-month membership have been contacted via email, so check your inboxes.
