This year’s ROCKtober is extra special as we celebrate CityROCK Johannesburg’s 10th birthday with a day-long climbing festival like no other.
We’re switching things up with rock rally–style scoring: everyone gets a handicap, the playing field is level, and it’s all about who climbs the most. That means the glory isn’t just for the strongest crushers – the “casual crushers”, the “young guns”, the “veterans” and the “rising stars” now have a real shot at walking away with the win (and part of the R25k in cash 💸).
But don’t worry, our strongest senders still get their moment – there’ll be a boulder and lead showdown for the Mad Strong competitors, with a brand-new pair of La Sportiva climbing shoes up for grabs. 💥
