Have you got pre-loved climbing, hiking and outdoor gear (in fairly good nick) lying around? Send it on some new adventures and support some great causes by making a donation to Dream Higher and/or the Mountain Club of South Africa Cape Town section.
Dream Higher is a volunteer-run non-profit organisation that helps to empower and uplift vulnerable youth in the Western Cape through regular indoor and outdoor climbing sessions and coaching.
Dream Higher doesn’t have much storage space for their gear, and so they ask that anyone who would like to donate kindly contact them on Facebook, Instagram or via email so that they can vet the gear and arrange collection.
Otherwise, you can just drop your gear donation in the MCSA donations box by the front desk at CityROCK Cape Town, so that it can be put to good use by the MCSA’s outreach and community projects.
Plans are in the works to set up a similar system at CityROCK Johannesburg, so keep your eyes open and help us grow the community together!
