It’s competition time and Team Gauteng needs you! Calling all willing volunteers to help out with what promises to be an epic weekend of competition!
Date: 9 to 11 February
Place: CityROCK Johannesburg & Pretoria
Speed will take place at the Joburg branch on Friday 9 February, after which the comp will move to the Pretoria gym for Top Rope on Saturday and Lead on Sunday.
There will be 90 climbers battling it out to be the best in Gauteng. Join us on the day as a volunteer to help make things run smoothly.
Never helped out before? No problem! We have an online training session scheduled and will be doing a refresher on the day before each session. We have many roles to fill!
We need judges, timekeepers, isolation managers, runners, belayers, and brushers. DM us or contact secretary@gauteng-climbing.co.za / 0825542375 today to get involved.
Note that no athletes who are competing will be allowed into City ROCK Pretoria from the 5th Feb – setting has begun!
For everyone wanting to watch the action go down, join us at the gym to give the athletes a cheer, and note that sections of the adult high-walls and bouldering areas will be closed off for the competition in Joburg and Pretoria respectively.
