In August 2024, five South Africans, one Austrian, and one American embarked on an adventurous three-week climbing expedition in Kyrgyzstan's Ak-Su valley, scaling challenging routes like the 800m Perestroika Crack and 1400m French Route while immersing in the stunning alpine landscape.
The National Climbing Championships featured 120 athletes from South Africa and Zambia, showcasing their skill and strength in Lead, Boulder, and Speed at CityROCK in pursuit of the national title.
Come on up to Gauteng this September to watch South Africa's best climbers crush their way to the top. Lead and Boulder will take place at CityROCK pretoria from 21 - 22 September, with speed being held at CityROCK Johannesburg on 23 September.
