Join us at CityROCK Cape Town on 21 March for the Cape Town Rock Rally 2026!
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned sender, you can look forward to a spectacular Saturday of sport climbing, whilst scooping up some exciting prizes from our sponsors and enjoying a lekker jol all around the Cape Peninsula.
How it works
The name of the game is to climb as much as you can and as hard as you can from 8:30am to 5:30pm on Saturday 21 March. After which we’ll tally up the numbers, crown the winners, and party the night away back at the gym!
Competitors will keep track of all climbs on an online scoresheet which must be submitted by 6pm; points will be awarded for every route sent on the day, and the top three highest-scoring competitors in each category will win some exciting prizes.
There will also be plenty of spot prizes up for grabs, with plenty of chances to win no matter your skill level or outdoor climbing experience!

Beginners Corner
If it is your first time climbing, or you would just like some extra encouragement, our friendly event crew will be set up at the Beginners Corner at Lower Silvermine. Free belays, extra psyche, and all the beta you need to score extra points on your scorecard.
If you are joining at the beginners corner, all you need is to bring along your own shoes and a harness. If you don’t have your own gear yet, we’ve got you covered. Make sure to pop into CityROCK before the event to rent them out.
Not sure how to get to Lower Silvermine? No problem! Our friendly crew will give you all the directions you need after the event briefing.
