The South African National Climbing Federation (SANCF) Nationals are taking place from 21 to 23 September 2024, bringing together top climbing talent from across the country. 115 athletes from South Africa and 5 from Zambia will compete in Lead, Boulder, and Speed, across their different age groups.

Schedule:
• Saturday, 21 September: Lead climbing at CityROCK Pretoria.

• Sunday, 22 September: Boulder climbing at CityROCK Pretoria.

• Monday, 23 September: Speed climbing at CityROCK Johannesburg.

Each day promises an intense display of skill, strength, and strategy as climbers push their limits to vie for the title of national champion. This event will highlight the best in South African climbing and is a great opportunity for fans of the sport to witness the country’s future climbing stars.
Spectators are welcome, so don’t miss out on this action-packed weekend! Whether you’re a climbing enthusiast or new to the sport, SANCF Nationals offers an exciting, family-friendly atmosphere for all.

If you are a member at CityROCK Pretoria, please take note of the wall closure areas from Monday 16 September. All competition routes will be open for climbing from Monday 23 September.

Please note: The Africa Aerospace and Defence Air Show will take place at the Air Force Base Waterkloof from September 17th until Sunday 22nd September. This will affect intersections around the Waterkloof Airbase.
The following intersections around the vicinity of Waterkloof Airbase will be affected for the duration of the event:

- – Van Ryneveld and Pieter Botha avenues
- – Van Ryneveld Avenue and Castle Gate
- – Van Ryneveld Avenue and Fouche Road
- – Van Ryneveld Avenue and Mazereon Cress
- – Van Ryneveld Avenue and Nellmapius Drive
- – Nellmapius Drive and Mazereon Crescent
- – Nellmapius Drive and R21
- – Van Ryneveld Avenue and Van Der Spuy Street
TMPD officers will be deployed for the duration of the event for traffic control and to monitor affected intersections. If you are coming to CityROCK Pretoria, please use the R21 and take the Nellmapius Drive off ramp and turn right onto van Ryneveld Offramp.
