This past weekend saw Western Cape Climbing’s largest ever Provincial Championships, with CityROCK Cape Town hosting the Top Rope & Lead competition, and the Bouldering showdown taking place at Bloc 11 South. Despite the lack of crowds due to COVID-19 regulations, the atmosphere was electric with around 115 competitors taking the stage over the weekend.
Gold was snatched by some of the Cape’s best veteran competitors in a triumphant performance, with a smattering of new faces showing promise for a bright future on the competitive scene.
