Western Cape Climbing (WCC) are thrilled to announce that their 2nd Development Fundraiser is back! Bigger and better than ever, boasting over R150,000 worth of prizes to be won! A massive THANK YOU goes out to all our incredible sponsors who have made this event possible.
Last year, the funds raised enabled WCC to bring in three international route setters and coaches: Nat Bell and Jan De Smit from Belgium; and Marco Jubes from Spain. For the 2024 edition, all funds raised will once again be invested into projects that benefit South African climbing as a whole.
WCC aim to bring more international and IFSC-accredited route setters and coaches to South Africa. Additionally, they plan to host workshops with an IFSC-accredited judge/scorer to improve the standards of local judging and scoring, along with several other smaller projects designed to elevate South African climbers to the next level.
The fundraiser runs until 30 September 2024, with only 2000 tickets available! Tickets are available for just R200 each.
