Join the CityROCK team at the beautiful De Bos Backpackers & Camping from 22 to 24 September to climb until you drop, win some excellent goodies, and enjoy a lekker jol in one of the world’s best sport climbing destinations with the 2023 Montagu Rock Rally…
The name of the game is to climb as much as you can and as hard as you can from 8:30am to 5:30pm on Saturday 23 September.
Competitors will keep track of all climbs on an online scoresheet and points will be awarded based on a handicap system – this allows climbers of all levels to compete against each other on an even playing field. After all scores have been submitted the judges will calculate the final results and we’ll gather together in the De Bos barn to announce the winners and enjoy a little after-party! The winners will be the top three highest-scoring competitors in each category, and there will also be plenty of spot prizes up for grabs.

All participants will need to register with the event team in the De Bos campsite on either Friday evening or Saturday morning to compete. There will be a compulsory event briefing at 8am at De Bos on Saturday, after which the competition will kick off!
Friends and family who don’t climb are also welcome to come along to cheer you on and enjoy the vibes; they will not need to pay the Rally entry fee, but they will need to pay for their accommodation.
