Ten Emgwenya Climbing Club members aged between 10 and 15 years and five adults (including two Mountain Club of South Africa members) recently enjoyed a fun day at The Library, a lekker little crag in the Mayhem Mountain Adventures area of Waterval Boven.
While there was some reading – of the guidebook – the day was spent climbing and exploring, as this was the first time any of the children had visited the crag.
A huge shoutout goes to Mayhem Mountain Adventures for waiving the daily permit fee for everyone in support of local climbing development, and special thanks to the MCSA Johannesburg section for helping to cover transport and lunch costs for the children.
