Salt Lake City World Cup 3-6 May
Open climbers Chris Cosser (Boulder), Tegwen Oates (Speed and Boulder) and Joshua Bruyns (Speed) represented @saclimbing at the IFSC Salt Lake City World Cup from 3 to 5 May.
A total of 191 athletes from 34 countries competed at the IFSC Boulder & Speed World Cup in Salt Lake City, including Jessica Pilz, Natalia Grossman, Simon Lorenzi, Toby Roberts and Sorato Anraku. For Jakob Schubert it is his 55th Boulder World Cup and his 153rd World Cup participation. Tomoa Narasaki is taking part in a bouldering World Cup for the 50th time and for the Canadian Alannah Yip it is also her 35th World Cup appearance.
Both Tegwen Oates and Joshua Bruyns broke the SA Speed records with a new female time of 10.77sec and a new male time of 5.93sec
Chris went on to place 41 out of 62 athletes, securing 2 tops in the qualification round.

European Youth Cup – Boulder 3-5 May
In addition to catching the Opens in Salt Lake City, we got to watch these three @saclimbing champs in action at the IFSC European Youth Cup – Boulder in Graz, Austria: Axel Janata-Burns & Ariane Janata-Burns (@westerncapeclimbing) and Fayzan Adroos (@gauteng_climbing)
Axel competed in Youth B Male and placed 63 out of 78 athletes with 1 top and 5 zones.
Ariane competed in Junior Female and placed 31 out of 34 athletes with 1 top and 2 zones
Fayzan competed in Junior Male and placed 33 out of 43 athletes with 2 tops and 4 zones
