Be aware that there are numerous people living in total squalor in the caves below the crags. We turned around the minute we encountered a person. The feeling is very disturbing as the smell is unbelievable and there is trash everywhere. By the level of disturbance the caves have been occupying for some time. It is totally unbearable and unsafe making it totally impossible to climb there at the moment. Please if anyone has more information on this to comment, and can also anyone  possibly advise on how to proceed in order to get this crags cleaned up. Such a disappointment considering these are of the oldest archeological sites on the entire planet, and certainly one of the most beautiful sports climbing destinations in SA. This site is a world treasure yet used as a dump and no one seems to care. It shows the absolute level of disinterest of the SA management... a shame to the rest of the world. All efforts should be made to inform people not to go there untill action is taken.
