INNSBRUCK – 2024 IFSC Climbing World Cup and new SA Speed record

From June 24 to 30, 2024, Innsbruck will host the year's largest climbing event, featuring World Cup competitions in Boulder, Lead, and Paraclimbing, as well as a European Cup in Speed.

From June 24 to 30, 2024, Tirol’s capital will once again become the epi-center of the climbing world. Over the course of seven days, Innsbruck will host World Cup competitions in Boulder, Lead, and Paraclimbing, alongside a European Speed Cup. This makes the Innsbruck World Cup the largest event of the year. With more than 400 athletes from over 40 nations expected to participate, the competition promises fierce contests and thrilling performances.

Beyond the coveted medals, this event offers a crucial opportunity to gauge the current standings in Boulder and Lead disciplines ahead of the Olympic Games. Spectators can look forward to a vibrant atmosphere and outstanding displays of skill from the world’s best climbers!

SA will see Olympic qualified athletes, Mel Janse van Rensburg and Lauren Mukheibir test their training in Lead and Boulder, alongside Calrin Curtis and Ariane Janata-Burns.
