Rock Kestrels Nesting at Silvermine Main Crag

Hey community!

Please be aware that rock kestrels are once again nesting at Main Crag, and no climbing should be done at this crag until they have moved on, which should be sometime in January.

Not only are the kestrel parents highly likely to attack any climbers that come too close, but it is also possible that the chicks may leave the nest prematurely if they are stressed or frightened.

Enjoy exploring some of Cape Town's other crags in the meantime and stay safe!
